The Master of G collection is about to get even more impressive with the addition of a new model - the GW-9400 Rangeman.
Designed with military and emergency first-responders in mind, the Rangeman is a high-performance timepiece built to stand up and deliver under the most grueling conditions. Mud, Water and Shock Resistant, the GW-9400 is loaded with some of Casio's most advanced technology, including "Triple Sensor", which accurately monitors direction, altitude, atmospheric pressure, and temperature, making it the first ABC G-Shock. Tough Solar technology adds to the list of technological capabilities of the Rangeman, soaking up natural and artificial light to take care of all the electrical needs of the watch, while radio-controlled Multi-Band 6 technology automatically calibrates the time down to the microsecond.
In regard to functions, the GW-9400 Rangeman has too many to list without forgetting some. There’s the usuals found in most G-Shock’s, like 48-City World Time, 5 Daily Alarms, and a 1000-hr stopwatch and 24-hour countdown timer, plus a few special ones tailored specifically for the model, such as the ability to store up to 40 sets of elevation data on the watch's internal memory. It’s also armed with an Auto LED Super Illuminator, making activating the backlight as easy as flicking your wrist, and can be configured to display sunrise and sunset times.
The GW-9400 Rangeman is scheduled to begin shipping in November, with two color variants slated for the initial release - black (GW-9400-1) and Army Green (GW-9400-3). A price point has not yet been announced, but speculation is that it should be around $350-400 USD.
